There is a city named Mithi in the Tharparkar district of Pakistan, which is about 875 kilometers away from Lahore, Pakistan. The total population here is about 87 thousand, in which about 80 percent people are Hindus. It is said that whenever any religious festival or cultural event is held here, Hindus and Muslims take part in it together.

It is said that here Hindu-Muslim celebrate Diwali and Eid together. People of the Hindu community take part in the Muharram procession and sometimes keep fasts along with the Muslims. The Muslims here say that in the 1971 India-Pakistan war, when the Indian Army reached Mithi, they had to flee overnight.
